21 Day Fix Extreme from BeachBody says it’s an intensive 3-week program that they guarantee will burn fat and help you “get shredded”. They promise 21 Day Fit Extreme is NOT easy, but they insist if you follow their meal plan and DVDs you will be as buff, fit, and sexy as the models on their website.
How 21 Day Fix Extreme Works
21 Day Fix Extreme basically combines portion control with a series of intensive workouts that use cardio, Pilates, yoga, and weights. To do this, they give you a set of color-coded containers and 6 workouts on 2 DVDs lead by Autumn Calabrese. (Weights are not included in the basic package.)
To use 21 Day Fix Extreme, they instruct you to follow the plan exactly, which they claim eliminates any guesswork. This means eating only the foods that fit in your containers and doing all the workouts as intensely as possible. Three weeks later, they promise you will have a hardbody that will make people’s jaws drop.
21 Day Fix Extreme Cost:
$72.80, which can be paid at once or in 3 payments of $19.95 plus $12.90 shipping. If you opt for the 3 payments, it should be noted that you will still be paying for the product long after its 21 Day regimen is over.
21 Day Fix Extreme comes with a 30-day money back guarantee from the date you receive it, minus S&H.
Bottom Line: Is 21 Day Fix Extreme a Great Way To Get In Shape?
21 Day Fix Extreme from Beachbody generally has a good reputation for their workouts who praise it as a great way for beginners or intermediates to get fit fast. Beachbody touts that it is a BBB-accredited business and went into their Hall of Fame for having no outstanding complaints for 3 years.
There’s just a few things we’d like to point out. First of all, this kind of “extreme” plan isn’t for everyone, especially people that are “extreme”ly overweight. Indeed, if you look at the Before and After pics, these people are already reasonably slim and trim, and appear to merely gain some more definition in their midsection from the program.
Also, there seems to be a lot of upselling going on here. For example, your 21 Day Fix Extreme portion control containers contains a special Shakeology shaker cup – Shakeology powdered drinks are sold separately, of course.
Indeed the most helpful critical review on Amazon said it felt “like watching an infomercial every time I put in the DVD…”
There also appears to be a strong tie-in to a BeachBody Coaching Program where you can make money selling these products to others. Could this be the reason there are so many positive reviews on their own BeachBody website?
Finally, we’d like to point out to you that while you may see a difference in 3 weeks of working out, as the website states in fine print “results may vary.” Muscle does weigh more than fat, so you may actually see a weight gain. And just because you lost it doesn’t mean you can’t put it back on – unfortunately staying fit with rock-hard abs requires constant maintenance.
